Going to see Santa

Last night JJ and I took the boys to see Santa. We figured since it was pouring down rain outside there would not be a big crowd. We met up with Josh at the store and my friend Sarah and we headed down to Santa's area. As soon as we got there one of the "elves" told us Santa needed a potty break. Yes those were her words not mine, and she told us to wait about 10 minutes. So we headed over to the indoor playground to wait for Santa. The boys had fun running around and playing, while I kept an eye out for Santa's return. About 8 minutes later we get the boys ready in their strollers and head over to wait in line (we were first.) Another 8 minutes and Santa is still not back, at this point JJ comments that Santa may have some intestinal problems, I think we can all agree to that what with all those cookies and milk in his bowl full of jelly. Anyways back to my story... it was taking so long that Josh had to go back to work and then of course 2 minutes later Santa comes back from the "potty." We head up the red carpet and they both look at him like he is an alien and do not want to sit in his lap. Finally Jacob crawls up there and Caden just digs his nails in deeper into my skin. He was TERRIFIED!!! And so I had to sit on Santa's lap just to get the picture. Poor little guy would barely smile unless I tickled his leg. Maybe next year will be more successful.
