Justin and Miranda made a quick stop to see us on their way to Dallas. Thursday they came down after work and we all hung out and caught up til about 12:00 am... went to bed and woke up with the kids. Josh and I didn't have to go to work til 2, but to keep the boys in their schedule we took them to school around 9:30 this morning. And then the 4 of us headed out to the pool. We hung out there til for about an hour then headed home to get ready for lunch at El Jinete! They had to leave around 2:30 to make it to the airport for their flight to Dallas... We had so much fun and had a great time catching up with our good friends! Miss you guys!

From the mind of Jacob...
This morning Josh and Jacob were laying in bed having a heart-to-heart. Josh was asking Jacob about last night and if he had fun with the fireworks. Jacob then tells him:
"You can't talk to fire cuz its not real. You have to watch out because fire can fall on your leg and burn off your lotion and make you itch. And sometimes it can burn your toes off!"
And this is what my 3 year old says!
Bare Feet, Popsicles, and Fireworks
Jim and Kathy came down for this long holiday weekend so that we could all go over Steve and Pat Brock's house for a 4th of July cookout. We had so much fun, the boys met new friends, and Josh and I met new friends. We had a great time eating, playing, chatting, and watching fireworks. Caden fell in love with Ava Brockman and Jacob had a great time playing with Kendall Conner and Trey. Jacob even got to hold his first sparkler! You could not tear him away from the fireworks, Caden on the other hand made me take him inside away from all the noise. He was terrified of the loud noise the fireworks gave, but enjoyed watching them through a huge window in the living room. Josh and John Brockman were busy shooting each other with fireworks while everyone else played with sparklers and watched the big ones explode in the air. It was a great 4th of July celebration and we all had so much fun!

Caden+Vacuum= Clean House
The boys have a pretend vacuum that makes a vacuuming noise. So as soon as I get mine out one of them gets theirs out and "helps" me vacuum. Josh got a couple pics of us cleaning the carpet!
Father's Day 2009
Unfortunately I got no good pictures! But I'll tell you our day...
We woke up and got ready for church, this Sunday we visited Hope and Life Church. Gwen and Tony Brock pastor this church so we wanted to check it out and see how we liked it. We loved it and had a great time. We got to see Tony and Gwen and their kiddos. The service was awesome and Pastor Tony gave a great message.
Next we headed home from church to make lunch when Josh changed his mind and said he wanted to go to CiCi's. So we changed the directions in the GPS and headed over there. Everyone was happy because who doesn't love pizza? The only pics I took were when we were here...

Then Josh had to go into work for a little bit to get ready for his Manager Meetings next week in Kearney, Nebraska. The boys and I took a nap while we waited for him to come home.
And then we all cooked dinner together, sat down had a family dinner. Now Caden-bug is playing with Josh and I am in the study blogging while Jacob watches Scooby Doo. Great family day and we all had a good time!
